Film Funding for Artists
The Northwest Territories (NWT) Film Commission provides a point of contact and
referral/facilitation services (as appropriate) to link film industry
professionals with NWT contacts.
Visit the Film Commission Website at (http://www.iti.gov.nt.ca/artscrafts/filmcommission.shtml)
The website details out the various opportunities, contacts and services that
you can access within the NWT in the film industry. At this time, the Film
Commission does not currently offer any filming incentives, nor location
scouting programs. In addition, unfortunately, there is no funding available
targeted strictly towards film related requests or projects. Funding for
filming related projects are dealt with through the same application process as
of Artistic Disciplines through the GNWT's Business Development Fund (BDF). To
obtain information about and to apply for funding please contact your local
regional Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI). The ITI Officers in your
region can assist you with your application and the information that you need
